Hernando Beach Navigation Channel

Hernando County, FL
About This Project

Dredging and environmental compliance work that resolved a sixteen-year turbidity impasse for Hernando County and delivered the channel improvements on a substantially truncated schedule.

Hernando County had spent more than a decade seeking a workable path to dredge its navigation channel without triggering turbidity exceedances that would stall federal and state permits. BCPeabody engineered an environmentally sound sediment-management approach, coordinated USACE and FDEP review, and executed the dredging on an accelerated timeline. The project demonstrates the firm's ability to unblock long-standing public infrastructure work by pairing federal-agency fluency with practical construction judgment.
